GuardianLock Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 12, 2026

1. Acceptance and Online Store Terms

By visiting our site and/or purchasing a subscription, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by these terms. You represent that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence to enter into this agreement. You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction.

2. The Nature of Service (Managed Educational Bailment)

GuardianLock provides an integrated Managed Educational and Safety Platform. Your subscription includes access to curated educational modules, safety resource libraries, and ongoing management of system-level content filters.

The mobile hardware provided (the "Authorized Device") is a corporate asset owned by GuardianLock and its holding company, Legacy Portfolio, LLC. This relationship constitutes a bailment solely for the delivery of our managed educational environment. You are considered a "Permitted User" of a corporate asset as defined by Apple Business terms.

3. Ownership, Possession, and Account Security

  • Legal Title: GuardianLock retains full legal title, rights, and interest in the Authorized Device and Apple Software at all times.
  • No Buyout Option: No transfer of ownership occurs at any time. No buyout option is available during or after the service term.
  • Store Accounts: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Shopify store account and password. We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders at our sole discretion.

4. Mandatory Mobile Device Management (MDM)

As a technical requirement, all devices are managed via Mobile Device Management (MDM). You acknowledge and consent to the following:

  • Supervision: Management profiles are mandatory and non-removable. Any attempt to bypass or "jailbreak" management constitutes a material breach of this agreement.
  • Safety Enforcement: We enforce system-level protocols, including Communication Safety and Sensitive Content Warnings, which utilize on-device analysis.
  • Remote Rights: You grant GuardianLock the right to remotely manage profiles, view application inventory for safety compliance, and perform a Secure Erase if the device is lost, stolen, or the service term ends.

5. Accuracy of Billing and Account Information

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. For more detail, please review our Refund Policy.

6. Service Term, Billing, and Return Policy

  • Term: The initial term is 24 months. Upon completion, service continues month-to-month unless the device is returned.
  • Billing Cycle: Service fees are billed on a recurring basis. By providing a payment method, you authorize GuardianLock to charge all fees for the subscription term.
  • Asset Return: Upon cancellation, the Authorized Device must be returned to GuardianLock within 14 days in working condition.
  • Failure to Return: Results in hardware recovery fees and permanent "Activation Lock" via Apple Business Manager.

7. Affiliate Program and Relationship

All subscribers are enrolled as GuardianLock Affiliates. As an Affiliate, you are an independent contractor and not an employee or agent of GuardianLock.

  • Compensation: Paid based on successful service purchases using your unique code.
  • FTC Disclosures: Affiliates must clearly disclose their relationship with GuardianLock when sharing links.

8. Third-Party Tools and Links

We may provide you with access to third-party tools (such as Shopify plug-ins) which we neither monitor nor have any control over. Links on this site may direct you to third-party websites that are not affiliated with us. We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, or content made in connection with any third-party websites.

9. Prohibited Uses and Conduct

You are prohibited from using the site, its content, or the Authorized Device for: (a) any unlawful purpose; (b) soliciting others to perform unlawful acts; (c) violating international or federal regulations; (d) infringing upon intellectual property rights; or (e) uploading viruses or malicious code.

10. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL PRODUCTS DELIVERED TO YOU ARE PROVIDED 'AS IS' AND 'AS AVAILABLE'. GuardianLock does not warrant that your use of the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. In no case shall GuardianLock, our directors, or employees be liable for any injury, loss, or claim arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to $50.00.

11. Termination and Governing Law

The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California/Arizona.
